Religious Education
At St Cuthbert’s Catholic School your child will receive Religious Education aimed at fostering a love of God and each other, through the development of Christian attitudes, celebrations, awareness of Church community, parent communication and enrichment, knowledge of faith and church and Gospel teachings. We utilise the Good News for Living curriculum framework. It is understood that parents will support their children in the practice of their faith.
Mass
Special school Masses are held at the beginning of the year (Mass of Blessing) and at the end of the year (Mass of Thanksgiving). These take place in the Church of the Incarnation, Lindisfarne and the school community is invited to attend.
Family centered – Parish based – School supported.
The Parish is the local faith community into which children are initiated. The preparation for the Sacraments of Initiation is facilitated by a Parish Sacramental Team which ensures that parents, parishes and schools work together to implement the process of initiation in ways that meet the needs of all involved.
